Emily appears regularly at USCIS interviews and immigration court on behalf of her clients. Additionally, Emily has gained expertise in criminal defense through her interactions with indigent defendants through her previous work in public defense. She has also specialized in an area referred to as “Crimmigration,” the analysis of the immigration consequences of criminal charges and convictions.
Emily earned her Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. While in law school, Emily clerked for a federal judge, practiced immigration in Arizona, volunteered at the Dilley Family Detention Center in Dilley, Texas, and worked for the Ministry of Justice in Madrid, Spain.
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Emily comes from strong Argentine roots and speaks Spanish fluently. Emily is licensed to practice law in Utah. In her spare time, Emily coaches boxing classes and loves any and all things fitness related.
